Islamabad Introduces E-Tags for All Vehicles from 18 November

Islamabad is introducing a new system for all vehicles. From 18 November 2025, every vehicle in the city must have an E-Tag. This rule is for all vehicles, whether they are registered in Islamabad or in other provinces.

The Deputy Commissioner of Islamabad said that E-Tags will help make the city safer and monitor traffic better. Vehicles without an E-Tag will not be allowed to drive in the city. Citizens will be informed about where and how to get their E-Tags, and the process will be simple and easy.

Why E-Tags Are Needed

The E-Tag system will make it easier for authorities to track vehicles and respond quickly in case of any emergency. Each vehicle will have a unique tag, so it can be identified at any time.

This step comes after a recent suicide attack near the G-11 district and Sessions Court, which killed 12 people and injured 36. Officials say that E-Tags are part of better security measures to protect residents and prevent such incidents in the future.

With E-Tags, authorities can control traffic, monitor vehicles, and stop unauthorized or suspicious vehicles from entering important areas.

How Citizens Can Get Their E-Tags

All vehicle owners are asked to get their E-Tags quickly to avoid trouble on the roads. The E-Tag system starts on 18 November. People will need to visit the assigned centers to register their vehicle and receive their tag.

Officials also said that having an E-Tag will make daily travel safer. It will help police and security teams to act faster in case of any problem.

Benefits of the E-Tag System

The E-Tag system will increase safety and also help manage traffic better. Authorities can monitor vehicles in real time, reduce congestion, and make the roads safer for everyone.

This new system is a big step toward a safer Islamabad. With E-Tags, citizens can travel more safely, knowing that authorities have better ways to track vehicles and protect people. It will make the city more secure, organized, and peaceful for everyone.
