The Punjab government continues its dedicated efforts to support low-income households through the CM Punjab Ration Card Program 2025. In November 2025, thousands of families across the province are benefiting from digital smart ration cards and monthly financial aid, helping them manage their daily food expenses more effectively.
November 2025 Updates
1. Active Distribution:
The distribution of digital ration cards is in full swing across all districts of Punjab. Over 1.37 million beneficiaries have already received financial support through this program.
2. Expanded Reach:
Initially launched as a pilot, the program now targets more than 8.4 million households. Special provisions are included for widows, orphans, people with disabilities, and mine workers to ensure the most vulnerable are covered.
3. Digital Smart Card System:
Beneficiaries do not need a physical card. Their NADRA-issued CNIC serves as a digital smart card. This allows them to purchase groceries from approved stores using biometric verification, making the process secure and efficient.
4. How to Apply or Check Status:
Citizens can check their eligibility in two simple ways:
- SMS: Send your CNIC number to 8123.
- Online: Visit the Punjab Socio-Economic Registry (PSER) portal at pser.punjab.gov.pk.
Additionally, door-to-door PSER surveys are being conducted to register more deserving families.
5. Transparency and Monitoring:
The Punjab government has established a dedicated monitoring and complaint cell to prevent misuse and ensure that all eligible families receive their benefits promptly.
Eligibility Criteria
To apply for the CM Ration Card Program, applicants must:
- Be permanent residents of Punjab.
- Have a monthly household income below PKR 50,000.
